This fall, join Wilderness Workshop in honoring our organization’s most valuable resource: our fabulous members and supporters. Help us celebrate in Sopris Park in Carbondale on (First) Friday, September 6 from 4-8 p.m. We’ll be offering FREE beer and non-alcoholic beverages to all Wilderness Workshop members, as well as affordable meals from the Slow Groovin’ food truck (veggie options available). Leave room for ice cream and s’mores around the bonfire for dessert!

Entrance is free and open to the public (but please RSVP at https://wildernessworkshop.org/community-party/), so bring your friends and family. Kick back and catch up with friends while enjoying live music by headlining band World’s Finest and opener The Smuggler Mountain Boys. Oregon’s ever-popular World’s Finest jams with a songwriting style rooted in Americana, transcending genres to deliver their unique and inviting sound. And The Smuggler Mountain Boys is a traditional and contemporary bluegrass band that plays everything from Bill Monroe to The Grateful Dead.

Then, as the sun disappears over the rocky horizon and the evening sets in, join us for dancing and entertainment by firelight. We’ll have games and a bounce castle for kids, so bring the whole family. If you donated in 2018 or 2019, we want to thank you for all your support. And of course, if you’d like to renew your membership, now’s as good a time as any. Please visit https://wildernessworkshop.org/donate.

Please feel free to bring a water bottle, chairs/blankets, cash for the bar and any other item you might bring for a day in the park! Also, bring photos of your past adventures in the Continental Divide and/or Thompson Divide areas. We’ll have a giant map of the region for you to pin photos or simply mark locations you’ve visited, all in support of the Colorado Outdoor Recreation and Economy Act.
